Silver Dollar City thanks local heroes with Cinnamon Bread Brigade: First Responders Appreciation Days, through Sept. 8

Silver Dollar City made the inaugural run of its Cinnamon Bread Brigade—a heartfelt mission to deliver the park’s most beloved treat to first responders in the Heart of the Ozarks. Hopping into fire trucks alongside local heroes, park hosts set out to say “thank you” the sweetest way they know how: fresh from the oven.

“When you think of Silver Dollar City, you think of tradition, family and that unmistakable smell of our world-famous cinnamon bread,” said Brandei Clifton, Silver Dollar City Publicity. “We wanted to take a slice of that comfort and share it with the people who serve our community every day. It’s like a big hug in a box!”

Early that morning, loaves of the gooey goodness were baked, boxed and loaded—ready to ride shotgun! The City’s own fire chief joined park hosts in aprons, climbing into trucks with local emergency personnel to deliver dozens of loaves to departments across Stone and Taney counties.

At one stop, a firefighter held up a loaf and hollered, “This stuff will get me through this 24-hour shift!” At another, an EMT carefully tucked a box into the station fridge, saving it for the night crew who missed the celebration.

The idea came from the heart of the park, inspired by countless stories from guests who say their trip to Silver Dollar City isn’t complete without a stop at Clara Bell’s Cinnamon Bread.

“It’s become the sweetest tradition for so many families,” Clifton added. “I can’t wait to make this an annual tradition and bless our community with even more bread! Where should we roll to next?”
