Hope Counseling Center is excited to announce that its recent Runway For Hope 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run raised more than $10,000 to support the launch of a new children’s therapy program. Held on May 3 at the Branson Airport, the event brought together community members of all ages for this unique opportunity to run on the runway and support a great cause.
Over 150 runners, walkers and spectators were on hand to show their commitment to helping children in our community who are struggling with their mental health. The funds raised will go directly toward establishing a dedicated program at Hope Counseling Center to address the mental health needs of children through accessible, age-appropriate therapy services.
“This was the first event ever held for Hope Counseling Center, and we could not be more pleased with the support we received from our community,” said Kyle David, Executive Director of Hope Counseling Center. “Thanks to the generosity of our runners, donors and sponsors, we are one step closer to providing specialized care for children needing emotional and behavioral support.” The new children’s program will offer therapy services to children between the ages of three and 17. These services will include individual counseling, play therapy and family support. These services will help build healthy foundations for lifelong mental well-being.
Hope Counseling Center extends heartfelt thanks to the event’s sponsors—The Bank of Missouri, White Magnolia Real Estate, Chick-fil-A, L&J Plumbing, Granite Construction, Ozark Mountain Ear, Nose and Throat, Ollis/Akers/Arney, TRAC Materials, Getting Floor’d and the Branson Convention Center—and the dedicated volunteers, including Branson GO CAPS Business and Entrepreneurship students, who helped make the event a success.
