Ribbon cutting ceremony on September 13 to open Wolves Crossing playground

Reeds Spring Schools will celebrate the official opening of Wolves Crossing Playground with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 13.

The event will take place at Wolf Pack Park, the district’s 125-acre outdoor facility.

The ceremony will mark the addition of a fully-accessible playground designed for children of all abilities."Wolves Crossing is truly the crowning jewel of our park project," said Superintendent Dr. Cody Hirschi. "This playground carries special meaning for our community because it represents the merging of all the towns we serve. This is reflected in its design, with elements such as the Kimberling City Bridge, Talking Rocks Cave, a Tracker Boat, the Frisco Steam Engine, roller coaster pieces and Ozarks wood canopies. This playground will impact generations of families, offering children from all walks of life, especially those with special needs, an opportunity to play, grow and belong. We are so excited to have this wonderful play area for the children of Stone County and our many visitors who come to enjoy all that Table Rock Lake has to offer."

Following the ribbon cutting, the Rotary Club of Table Rock Lake will host its annual Pickleball Tournament, 5k race, and one-mile fun run. Proceeds from these events help fund grants to local nonprofit organizations.

Wolf Pack Park already features tennis and pickleball courts, walking and biking trails, and a disc golf course. District officials hope the new playground will further establish the park as a community hub for recreation and family activities.
