Reeds Spring football opens home season
Reeds Spring hosted its home opener of the season Friday, Sept. 4, welcoming the Marshfield Blue Jays.
Marshfield earned a 50-6 victory over the Wolves in the nonconference matchup. Reeds Spring is now 1-1 on the season after opening with a 7-6 road win over Springfield Parkview on Aug. 28.
Reeds Spring High School head football coach Travis Cagle said while Friday night didn’t go as planned the Wolves are ready to respond this week. “Friday night wasn't quite the home opener we were looking for, “ Cagle said. “The good news is that most of our mistakes are correctable and will be addressed this week in practice to continue to get better. The team is looking to redeem themselves this Friday at Springfield Catholic.”
