During the fall, our area libraries offer a wealth of information for finishing up this season’s garden harvest and laying valuable groundwork (pun intended?) for next spring!
How do you best plan for the spring gardening season once the fall weather has laid your garden to rest? What plants did well, and will your favorites still be good performers? Are adjustments needed in what plants to put in which place? How can you accommodate changing needs by expanding or downsizing your garden? Join other gardeners at Kimberling Area Library for answers to these and more questions, at a fun and informative Learning on Wednesday session on Wednesday, November 12, “After the Frost: Preparing for the Spring Garden.”
Local Master Gardener and area resident expert Mary O’Brien will lead this informative session to help you identify ways to succeed in your spring garden planting by careful planning in the fall. These sessions are also a great time for Q & A as well as meeting new friends who share similar interests. You’re certain to leave with ideas that will encourage you through the cold days of winter as you look forward to trying out those ideas next spring!
The session begins at 10:15 a.m. in the Kimberling Area Library community room, 45 Kimberling Blvd. in Kimberling City. Coffee and light snacks are provided;
attendance is FREE, and pre-registration is not required. For additional information or to learn about more upcoming events, visit www.kalib.org.
