Reader’s Corner: Kids’ events and book sale at KAL

Good things are continuing to happen at Kimberling Area Library during October!

It’s not too late to plan a stop by the KAL Annual Fall Book Sale & Bake Sale on Friday and Saturday, October 10 and 11. According to children’s librarian Abbey Everett, there are LOTS of children’s books—plus there will be plenty of sweet treats! Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Grab some bargains, and while there, stop by the front desk to learn more about becoming a member of the Kimberling Area Library Association.

On Monday, October 13, kids can enjoy Firefighter Storytime as the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District will be on site with their fire truck and plenty of stories, fire safety tips and more. Don’t miss this fun and educational opportunity for the whole family including kids of all ages.

On Monday, October 27, plan to join the costume party at Spooktacular Storytime, for a morning full of spook stories, treats, crafts and more. Both of these special children’s events will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Stay up to date on these and other fun, educational opportunities by visiting www.kalib.org.
