Reader’s Corner: Fun kids’ activities for February at KAL

Winter in the Ozarks can be full of surprises—like super-warm and super-cold weather in the same week—but it’s also full of fun, with special events just for kids and their families at Kimberling Area Library coming up in February.

Kick off the family fun on Tuesday, February 3, by joining in the creativity at Lego Club. Lego Club meets the first Tuesday of the month, at 4:15 p.m., making it a great after-school activity for kids of all ages.

On the second and fourth Monday of each month, at 10:30 a.m., is Kids’ Storytime, featuring a different theme each time with songs, stories and crafts. On February 9, celebrate National Take Your Child to the Library Day with a craft and a special storytime celebrating the joy of reading and libraries.

The storytime theme for Monday, February 23, is “Let It Snow!” featuring stories about fun in the snow.

Kids of all ages are welcome to attend the activities with their families.

Kimberling Area Library is located at 45 Kimberling Blvd., Kimberling City. In case of inclement weather, check the Facebook page, or sign up to receive email updates regarding children’s library activities. For more information, visit www.kalib.org
