Mark your calendars for some great bargains on books, just in time for cooler fall evenings by the patio fire pit, or cozy winter evenings! Kimberling Area Library will hold its annual Fall Book Sale on Friday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, October 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Come and browse thousands of books including popular fiction, paperbacks, biographies and lots of non-fiction categories. Puzzles, DVDs and audio books will also be available, as well as a special section of children’s items—a great way to save money on supplemental reading for school or homeschool, or for family time.
Along with the book sale, delicious baked treats will also be for sale!
As a privately-held nonprofit organization, KAL appreciates the participation and support of community members in this sale. All year long, the Library welcomes donations of books, DVDs, magazines, puzzles and games (please, no damaged books, textbooks, or encyclopedias). Volunteers sort donations by a pre-determined vetting process, adding some to the Library collection and saving others for the annual sale. Donors receive a receipt for tax purposes.
The Library depends on donations, grants and optional free library memberships to provide the benefits of library services to residents living within a 25-mile radius of Kimberling City, as well as a staff of over 50 volunteers to maintain operations for regular weekly shifts. New volunteers are always welcome to help with this valuable mission; learn more at www.kalib.org or call 417-739-2828.
Kimberling Area Library Association members are invited to a special pre-sale event on Thursday, October 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Library volunteers and members look forward to meeting readers on October 10-11 to inform them of KAL services, share in finding some bargains, and celebrate learning together!
