Pirate's Cove participates in company-wide fundraiser for veterans

One Branson business raises funds for a special group of people each year. Branson's Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf proudly teams up with Pirate's Cove and Pirate's Island locations across the United States for Putting for Patriots, a unique fundraiser to benefit Veterans.

Putting for Patriots supports local Veteran-related nonprofits in various markets. Monies raised are also donated to two national organizations that serve wounded servicemen and women and their families, as well as Veterans that suffer from PTSD, Homes for our Troops and TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors).

Putting for Patriots, now in its 19th year, takes place each May. The two-week-long event wraps up on Memorial Day each year. A portion of the proceeds raised at each of the 28 Pirate's Cove or Pirate's Island locations are donated to the veterans organizations. The company also collects financial donations from customers that go directly to the nonprofit entities.

Locally, businesses were invited to become sponsors of Branson's Putting for Patriots event, as Gold Hole Sponsors, Silver Hole Sponsors and Bronze Hole Sponsors. Sponsors were given the opportunity to place signage on the mini golf course during the event and hand out promotional items to golfers.

While funds from this year's event have not yet been calculated, Putting for Patriots has raised more than $820,000, nationwide, to help those who served our country since the event began in 2007.
