Organization brings retired teachers together

Taney County offers a special organization for retired teachers to meet, network and fellowship.

The local chapter of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association (MRTA) welcomes all retired teachers and school personnel to join them for their monthly meetings, held the second Tuesday of each month.

The next meeting of the MRTA Chapter will be held on Tuesday, October 14, at 10 a.m. The morning will begin with a brief business meeting, after which members and visitors will decorate wreaths to donate to an upcoming fundraiser for Christian Action Ministries.

Everyone is encouraged to come to the meeting, whether you have artistic abilities or just want to join in the fun.
