One worker dies as result of water main break

An accident during work on Downtown Branson's Streetscape project claimed the life of a construction worker.
A water main break on Thursday afternoon sent two employees who were contracted by Emery Sapp & Sons to Cox Medical Center Branson, via ambulance, with critical injuries.
"We are heartbroken to share that an Emery Sapp & Sons employee has died from injuries sustained in the incident at the Branson Streetscapes project on Thursday, August 21, 2025," said the company in a prepared statement released on Saturday.
The statement continued, "It's important for us to express that he acted heroically to assist a coworker during this tragic incident. His courage and selflessness reflect the person he was and how he served those around him. He was a valuable member of our team and we will miss him. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to his family and loved ones,"
"Another employee involved in the incident remains hospitalized and is in recovery. Our thoughts are with him and his family as he receives care," the statement continued. "Out of respect for the families, we will not be sharing additional details at this time."
A later statement from Emery Sapp & Sons identified the employee who lost his life as Jacob Seiller lll, a member of the Branson entertainment community, having been an integral part of the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama.
"We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones," said the second statement from Emery Sapp & Sons. "The ESS family stands together and we'll continue to share ways to show support."
