No serious injuries in Saturday morning accident

A Saturday morning accident on Branson's West Main Street quickly brought area firefighters, law enforcement officers, ambulance and first responders to the aid of the family involved.  The accident occurred when an eastbound extended cab truck was trying to make a left turn off of West Main and pulled into the path of an oncoming westbound vehicle. The collision knocked the truck onto its side. The two occupants in the truck's back seat were quickly able to make their way out of the vehicle, with the help of a good Samaritan who witnessed the accident and immediately stopped to assist.  The truck's driver and front-seat passenger were extricated from the wreckage after emergency workers removed the windshield from the vehicle. 

All four occupants of the truck, who were vacationing in Branson, were taken by ambulance to the hospital, but no serious injuries were reported. The accident blocked the two westbound lanes of West Main Street for approximately an hour.
