New business offers the area’s best monkey bread

A relatively new downtown business is quickly becoming a favorite among the many local residents and vacationers who have already visited.

Mimi's Monkey Bread opened in November of 2025. Owned and operated by Mimi and James, a delightful couple that have created a warm and inviting atmosphere, Mimi's Monkey Bread serves a selection of delicious monkey bread that will satisfy any craving.

"This is a yeast dough with so many sweet and savory flavors, such as cinnamon and sugar, garlic, maple bacon, caramel sea salt and so many more," said Mimi of the delectable pull-apart bread. 

Mimi's Monkey Bread, a both veteran and family-owned business, has limited seating, so the menu items are offered To-Go. In nice weather, guests are invited to enjoy dining on property at Mimi's covered outdoor seating area. The smaller sized portions of monkey bread can be grab and go, but the largest sizes—the loaf or the family sized—are done by pre-order. The loaf takes about 30 minutes to bake, and the family size requires approximately one hour.

Two of the most important things in the lives of Mimi and James are family and community. Mimi credits their children and grandchildren for being a big part of the Mimi's Monkey Bread journey.  

As for community, Mimi and James are very appreciative to the Branson area, a place they have called home for the past four years, noting they have received "very good response. So much support and love."

The love from the community is evident in the tremendous feedback the couple receive in the form of reviews.

As a way to give back to the community that supports them, Mimi's offers discounts to local residents, as well as first responders and veterans. They also have a monthly drawing where one lucky winner receives a family-sized monkey bread of his or her favorite flavor.  

Mimi's Monkey Bread is open Wednesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Because the couple operate other businesses, they will occasionally find the need to close, but those closures will be advertised, in advance, on social media.
