Neighbors and Friends of Table Rock Lake (NFTRL) announced on May 1, 2026, its 2026 grant application period to fund active 501(c)(3) local organizations seeking funding for humanitarian projects to improve the lives of Stone or Taney County residents. Charitable local organizations under the umbrella of an active 501(c)(3) may also apply for grant requests up to $5,000. Programs that require clients/recipients to participate in religious training, practice a particular religious faith, or have a political association cannot be considered for funding. Grant applications must be emailed to nftrlgrants@gmail.com with agency name listed on the subject line by August 1, 2026, to have applications processed. Specific guidelines for grant applications appear at www.nftrl.org.
Over the past 14 years, NFTRL has supported projects in the arts, youth programs, treatment programs, food banks, literacy initiatives, pet humane centers and adult growth and development programs for a total of over $830,000. In March 2026, the organizations delivered over $90,000 to 19 nonprofit applicants who will report their project outcomes. In 2025, Sponsorship raised $29,693 through business and individual donations. Gracious community support for 2026 fundraising will include its April Sing-No Sing, May Upscale Garage Sale, September Twilight auction, and December Christmas Tour of Homes and Boutique. All raised funds will support vetted grants funded in spring 2027.
NFTRL welcomes new members and is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is the foster friendship among its members and assist in their introduction into community, social, civic and educational causes and undertake and promote charitable and humanitarian projects within the community. The organization currently has over 300 members who meet monthly for lunch, engage in various interest groups and collectively work to raise funds for annual grant allocation.
