Locked up for good
Many area residents and business leaders found themselves locked up last week, as they helped raise money for a good cause.
Leftovers 4 Locals was the recipient of funds raised during the Lock Up Hunger event, held at the Branson Auto and Farm Museum.

Local business owners, community leaders, celebrities and more were nominated by their "friends" to spend some time in jail to raise money for Leftovers for Locals, an area organization that helps combat food insecurity. Each jailbird was served a warrant and was arrested, with the help of Sheriff Buford T. Justice and Junior Justice of East Bound and Down. Each person was booked, photographed and taken to a charity jail, where they spent time raising money and collecting food donations in order to bail themselves out.
The Jail and Bail fundraiser kicked off the Pontiac Trans Am Takeover Car show at the Branson Auto and Farm Museum.
Leftovers 4 Locals is a nonprofit organization that collects leftover food items from guests vacationing in the area, and distributes those items to food pantries, Blessing Boxes and other programs that assist those with food insecurity.
