If you have not yet found love, maybe you truly are looking in all of the wrong places. A local organization hopes to help you out by setting you up with the perfect blind date.
Voices for Taney County Animals is a nonprofit designed to support the needs of all shelter animals in Taney County through fundraising, donations, volunteer support and awareness. Their most recent project is their Blind Date program.
This is your opportunity to show some love to a local shelter dog—and maybe find a forever companion to love while doing so. Simply spend some time with one of the shelter dogs. Go for a hike, get a pup cup, go play in the park, cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie—there are countless ideas. And, these dogs are easy to impress.
"If you are considering adoption or if you have a full house and just want to give a dog a little extra love, this is for you," explained a VFTCA spokesperson. "Every bit of affection, every new experience, and every photo or video taken gets them one step closer to finding their forever homes, builds their confidence and teaches them to trust the world around them."
Already, several dogs have enjoyed blind dates, but there are many more, eager to enjoy the experience. To get matched with a dog, simply go to the Voices for Taney County Animals Facebook page and fill out a quick and easy survey. You will be paired with a dog that will meet your expectations. Who knows, your home may become the forever home that dog is seeking.
The Blind Date program continues through the month of February.
Said the spokesperson, "We know these dogs have enough love in their hearts for you. Can you find enough love in your heart for one of them?"
