Local business invites everyone to anniversary celebration

A beloved Branson coffee shop is turning a year old.

Cozy Up Penguin welcomes locals and visitors alike to their unique business—a comfortable coffee shop with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Caitlin Chase and her father, Linwood "Woody" Chase, wanted to offer their customers a venue where people could enjoy a warm or cool beverage—depending on the season—hang out with family or friends, and enjoy a home-away-from-home atmosphere. They opened the Cozy Up Penguin Coffee Shop in November of 2024.  

Guests marvel at the family-friendly atmosphere, and tables lined with puzzles and games. They appreciate the large selection of coffees, teas, frappes and lattes that Cozy Up Penguin serves, as well as their delicious pastry treats.

Cozy Up Penguin provides space for parties—both private and non-private, and Caitlin and Linwood work long hours to meet the needs of their customers, opening early and staying late, ensuring guests are well pleased.

The past year has been a joy for Caitin and her father, who will mark the occasion of their first year in style.

"November 1 is our anniversary of one year since we opened," Caitlin explained. "All weekend—October 31, November 1 and November 2, we're going to do 10% off all drinks. And, we're also giving out a free mini cupcake with a drink purchase. Additional mini cupcakes can be purchased at $1 apiece."

"It's been a good year," said Caitlin of their first year owning Cozy Up Penguin. "We are so glad we took on this new adventure. Owning a coffee shop and being able to meet so many great people in the community has been wonderful."
