A local businesswoman and author is inviting the public to attend a very special event.
Angie Harris is debuting two brand new children's books in one exciting afternoon.
In "Finding Fred Takes Center Stage," Fred, the main character in some of Harris' previous books, returns to Branson with his school choir and discovers a fondness for the spotlight.
"Why Is the Bank Closed?" features Papa and Baby Duck in a touching story about what it means to be a veteran.

The book debut—the largest event of its kind by a local artist—will feature treasure hunts, balloons, photo backdrops and more. The highlight of the evening will be storytime, with books read by some well-known Branson personalities. The book launch also gives you the opportunity to meet the author, meet the illustrator and even meet one of the characters.
The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB and Branson Bank are partnering with Harris on this special event.
"I want to invite everyone to attend one of the largest book launches by a single author in the region," said Harris. "Hosted at IMAX, known for bigger and better experiences, we'll be launching two new books and celebrating three current titles as we 'Follow the Story' across two beloved series: Finding Fred and Papa. Several of these stories take place right here in Branson, MO, and I'm excited to share my love for our city through these books."
The book launch is set for Saturday, November 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Branson's IMAX Entertainment Complex. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
