Library adds many digital resources

A library is an excellent place to gain access to information, and that is certainly true at The Library Center of the Ozarks in Branson.  

The Library Center of the Ozarks continues to expand their selection of books and DVD's but they also provide multiple avenues for library patrons to gain access away from the library—at home, work, or even in your car.

"Over 30 new digital research databases have been added to enrich discovery and lifelong learning," explained a representative of Library Center of the Ozarks. "These not only provide access to scholarly content but also practical needs, such as legal forms, recipes, repair manuals and more. A physical library can't hold a copy of every book. These digital offerings expand the collection so that students, teachers, homeschoolers and independent learners are able to go beyond materials on the shelves."

All of the new digital resources are available at no charge to anyone with a valid LCO library card. Simply visit LCOzarks.org/digital-services, select a database, and type in your library card number. Search for the topic you desire, and it will quickly be available for you to read or download.

If you do not yet have a library card, now is the perfect time to sign up. Library cards are available at no charge for those who reside, own property or attend college within the Branson or Hollister School Districts. Those living outside of the Library District may receive a library card for an annual fee of only $75 per household.

The Library Center of the Ozarks is located at 200 South 4th Street in downtown Branson. Library hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
