Lake Taneycomo Elks to host blood drive September 4

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs a donation of blood. It’s easy to hear that statistic and not think much about it, until that someone is us or someone we love. Many of the people driving past or waiting in traffic due to the horrific accident in Hollister last weekend gained a fresh appreciation for just how quickly that need can arise. 

We are blessed in Taney and Stone counties to have several organizations who regularly host blood drives. Members of the Lake Taneycomo Elks Lodge #2597 are proud to invite area residents to sign up for a Red Cross Blood Drive to be held on Friday, September 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Lodge is located at 12951 U.S. Hwy. 160 just east of Forsyth. 

During September, the American Red Cross is partnering with Hello Kitty for exclusive merch, including a cute Hello Kitty themed collectible item, while supplies last.
