The Junior Auxiliary of Taney County has been very busy in recent weeks, as they work diligently to make a difference in the lives of children in Taney County.
Mr. G's Chicago Pizza and Pub recently held their annual JATC Days. Ryan Holmes, owner of Mr. G's, consistently supports the Junior Auxiliary with this annual fundraiser. Each year Holmes donates half of the money taken in for food purchases during the two-day event back to JATC. Those in attendance –including JATC members, their families, friends and members of the community—were able to help earn the funds for JATC service projects while enjoying great food and fellowship.
The money made from purchases at Mr. G's during JATC days totaled $600, and owner Ryan Holmes donated an additional $400 making a grand total of $1,000 presented to the Junior Auxiliary.
Holmes was named a Sustaining Member of JATC in 2023, due to his support for the organization and area children, with fundraisers and personal donations.
"I enjoy supporting the Junior Auxiliary of Taney County because of their commitment to helping the children and families in our community," said Holmes.
The Junior Auxiliary also joined other community organizations and businesses at the recent Grape and Fall Festival in Hollister.
JATC members Kristi Gabel and Debbie Lee served as co-chairs for the event at the Grape and Fall Festival. Their booth featured Grape Pong and Pumpkin Putt games for both children and adults. More than 250 children visited the JATC booth, each receiving a free book and a fall treat.
"It was lots of fun helping the kids play the games and rewarding them with treat bags and a book," said Kristi Gabel. "We were also able to promote JATC's programs by handing out pamphlets about JATC to interested parents. Thank you, Hollister Chamber of Commerce, for allowing us to help make this a successful event."
The Junior Auxiliary of Taney County is a group of women who are dedicated to improving the lives of Taney County children. The group's approximately 50 members strive to improve the mental, physical, social and emotional wellbeing of area youngsters.
