Imagine Technical Institute launches new job training programs in partnership with Hollister School District and Branson Convention Center

Imagine Technical Institute (ITI), a vocational training and employment services provider dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is expanding its program offerings with two new industry-aligned vocational training courses. These additions build on ITI’s existing partnership with CoxHealth and strengthen connections with local employers to create meaningful career pathways for job seekers.

The new programs, developed in partnership with the Hollister R-V School District and the Branson Convention Center, will provide hands-on training for employment in custodial services and the hospitality industry, respectively. Both six-week courses combine practical skills and workplace readiness instruction with the opportunity to pursue competitive, integrated employment upon completion.

These programs join ITI’s established Health Care & Social Assistance Support Program, offered in partnership with CoxHealth, which trains students for competitive employment in food and nutrition services.

“Expanding our vocational training options with these new partnerships reflects ITI’s commitment to equipping individuals with disabilities with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in today’s workforce,” said Teresa Wappel, Executive Director of Imagine Technical Institute. “These programs open doors to meaningful careers while helping local employers build a more inclusive talent pipeline.”

ITI is now actively accepting applications from individuals seeking vocational support and competitive integrated employment. For more information or to apply, visit https://imaginejobs.org or call 417-240-7630.

ITI receives funding from CC Links and Developmental Connections, public taxing entities that contract with agencies serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

About Imagine Technical Institute

Founded in 2023, Imagine Technical Institute (ITI) is a vocational training and employment services provider for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in southwest Missouri. Working in collaboration with Boone Center Inc. in St. Peters, MO, ITI empowers people with disabilities to find and retain jobs in our local community, working alongside non-disabled individuals while earning the same opportunities, benefits and pay. ITI is the dream of Hollister native Tim Connell. His passion for creating a school for people with disabilities developed as he volunteered for disability-related organizations following his son’s autism diagnosis in 1995. ITI partners with local businesses to co-create training programs. For more information, contact ITI’s Executive Director Teresa Wappel at 417-240-7630 or teresa@imaginejobs.org
