From the jungle to Thunder Ridge: Guns N’ Roses headed to the Ozarks

From the jungle to Thunder Ridge, one of rock’s biggest names is headed to the Ozarks.

Guns N’ Roses will bring its 2026 World Tour to Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale on Saturday, Sept. 12, with special guests The Barbarians of California. The show is scheduled to begin at 6:25 p.m.

The Thunder Ridge performance will offer fans one of the last chances to catch Guns N’ Roses on the North American leg of the 2026 World Tour. Following Ridgedale, only stops in San Antonio on Sept. 16 and Atlanta on Sept. 19 remain before the North American run concludes.

For nearly four decades, Guns N’ Roses has been a fixture in rock music, beginning with the release of its debut album, “Appetite for Destruction,” in 1987. The band has since sold more than 100 million units, with a catalog that includes “Use Your Illusion I,” “Use Your Illusion II,” “G N’ R Lies,” “The Spaghetti Incident?,” “Greatest Hits” and “Chinese Democracy.” “Appetite for Destruction” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in May 2024, according to the band’s 2026 World Tour press release.

The band has continued to draw audiences around the world. Its 2024 world tour sold 1.3 million tickets and included performances at the Hollywood Bowl and MetLife Stadium, along with festival appearances at Glastonbury and London’s Hyde Park. Its previous “Not in This Lifetime…” tour sold more than 5 million tickets.

With Guns N’ Roses known for its nearly three-hour live performances, fans can expect a mix of longtime favorites and music spanning nearly four decades.

Recent shows have featured classics including “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “November Rain,” “Paradise City” and “Nightrain,” alongside “Perhaps,” “The General” and the band’s latest singles, “Nothin” and “Atlas,” its first new releases since 2023. 

Bringing that unmistakable Guns N’ Roses sound to the Thunder Ridge stage will be Axl Rose on vocals and keyboards, Duff McKagan on bass and Slash on lead guitar. They are joined by Dizzy Reed on keyboard, Richard Fortus on rhythm guitar, Isaac Carpenter on drums and Melissa Reese on keyboard.

As the band’s 2026 World Tour press release puts it, the “Nightrain” keeps rolling at full speed, and this September it rolls into Thunder Ridge.
