Forsyth Thrift Store seeking donations to help sustain library

The community library in Forsyth has the unique privilege of receiving support from a nearby thrift store.

The Forsyth Library Thrift Store, located on David Street, is a key source of funding for the local library. Operated by a staff of hardworking and dedicated volunteers, the Thrift Store offers items for bargain hunters and treasure seekers. Their constantly revolving selection of merchandise, cleverly displayed for shoppers, includes clothing, toys, home decor, linens, jewelry, household items and much more.

The Thrift Store is currently in need of donations and asking for your help. Please consider donating new and gently used items you no longer need to help the Thrift Store to provide needed funds for the library. Thrift store volunteers will eagerly accept donations of good used fall and winter clothing for women, men, children and infants, including coats and jackets. They also appreciate gently used blankets, towels and linens, as well as housewares. Additional donation suggestions include knick knacks and decorative items, jewelry, purses, scarves and other accessories, and toys, games and puzzles that are in good condition. The Library Thrift Store welcomes the donation of seasonal decor, unused greeting cards and new items suitable for gift-giving. They would also appreciate small tools, antiques, collectibles and more.

Please make sure donations are clean and in good repair, and no furniture, please, due to the lack of space available to display merchandise. All proceeds benefit the Forsyth Library.

Donations may be dropped off during regular business hours, 9:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

The Library Thrift Store is located at 155 David Street in Forsyth. For more information, call 417-546-5004.
