Ted Martin, former Chief of Branson Fire Rescue, has stepped into a new position.
Only days after his retirement, Martin, who served the citizens of Branson for 30 years as Fire Chief, accepted a position with the Western Taney County Fire Protection District as the Division Chief of Fire Prevention.

In his new role, Martin will oversee fire safety inspections and public education programs, as well as efforts that are put in place to prevent emergencies before they happen.
In a social media post announcing Martin's new appointment, the Western Taney County Fire Protection District shared, "Chief Martin brings decades of fire service experience, including leadership in fire prevention, public education and community risk reduction. Many in our district already know his impact through his career with Branson Fire Rescue and his longstanding commitment to improving safety in our community. His leadership will strengthen our mission of protecting lives and property through prevention and preparedness."
For Martin, heading to WTCFPD is like going home. He was previously a volunteer firefighter with the district, an experience that cemented his desire to make firefighting a lifelong career.
"His story is a strong reminder of the impact our volunteers make every day," said WTCFPD in the social media post.
Congratulations, Division Chief Martin, on your new position.
