A coffee shop with a unique name recently opened in Branson. But, more than just a creative name, Mudslingers serves a tremendous product and offers equally amazing service.
Owned by Caleb and Melissa Spangler, Mudslingers opened in October of 2025. The business is currently a walk-up coffee shop, with the dream of becoming a drive-through establishment in the near future.
"When we were in Cheyenne, Wyoming, we noticed no coffee shacks near us," Caleb explained. "This gave us the idea to want to own our own, We then did a lot of research and found Mudslingers. With Mudslingers, you buy the brand name to operate as Mudslingers, but not a franchise. We weren't able to open in Cheyenne, but were able to bring the idea with us to Branson."
Caleb and Melissa are both from Helena, Montana.
Said Caleb, "We got married in 2015, at which time I was working in a hotel. I was promoted to a general manager with my first company, which meant a move to Cheyenne, Wyoming. We lived there for four years. I then found another general manager position for the Holiday Inn Express on 76, where I am currently working, while my wife runs the coffee shop. We moved this way to be closer to my side of the family."
Caleb and Melissa are the proud parents to five children—Bianca, Jeremiah, Cody, Calvin and Hannah.
Mudslinger, under Melissa's supervision, offers customers a variety of signature drinks, including the Mudslinger, Nutty Buddy and Peach Cobbler, as well as Lotus Energy, a coffee-based energy drink.
Caleb explained what set Mudslingers apart from other coffee shops. "We use a better quality syrup for mixing—Monin—which is more natural flavoring and pure cane sugar," said Spangler. "We also use Ghirardelli for our sauce. We feel we also bring a nice, warm atmosphere to our service."
Located at 2166 State Highway 248, in Branson's Food Truck Park, Mudslingers is open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
To learn more about Mudslingers, including their menu items and their loyalty program, you can visit their website, www.mudslingerscoffeebranson.com or find them on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok as Mudslingers Branson.
Since they do not have a drive-through yet, Mudslingers offers online ordering so your drink will be ready when you arrive, as well as delivery via Door Dash.
"We offer multiple discounts for teachers, first responders, police officers, firefighters, nurses, hospital care and for Google reviews," noted Caleb. "We would love for everyone to stop by and give us a try."
