Exciting fall events coming to Freedom Encounter

It’s been an exciting summer at Freedom Encounter Theater, and the inspirational and educational fun continues into the fall with the new Kids’ Experience, a Freedom Essentials class, special Freedom Journey shows during Veterans week, and more! 

What better way to kick off a new school year or celebrate Constitution Week, September 23 through 27, than with the Freedom Journey Experience! During this one-hour interactive show, the audience starts out in the Liberty Theater, learning from Benjamin Rush, signer of the Declaration. Then, guests proceed to the Colonial Church where they reflect on the spiritual foundations of freedom through the eyes of Samuel Adams and Pastor Jonas Clark, via hologram. The Experience wraps up in the 1800s’ Wilderness School for a lesson on America’s Founding Documents, taught by a live teacher in period costume. 

For the younger members of the family, check out the new Finding Freedom Kids’ Experience, an exploration of the Five Freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. Kids of all ages will enjoy learning in the 3D Liberty Theater and from the holographic Patrick Henry in the Colonial Church, and then a live lesson in the Wilderness Schoolhouse. Students can take home a souvenir craft item as a reminder of those valuable freedoms. 

The Finding Freedom Experience is offered at noon, Tuesday through Saturday, followed by the Freedom Journey Experience at 1 p.m., with other times available for groups by appointment. Find ticket information and plan your visit at https://www.freedomencounter.com/plan-your-visit. 

If it’s been a while since you studied the foundations of the freedoms we enjoy in the United States of America, or if you’re hesitant about your ability to defend the spiritual roots of those freedoms, check out the Christian Patriot’s Essentials Classes. Taught by Freedom Encounter founder Darren Myers, who brings 12 years of experience researching and traveling the country to teach this important topic, this class will study what the Bible says about government and equip Christians to engage in the spiritual battle for freedom. The four-week course will cover topics such as these: 

• Comprehensive biblical overview of government; 

• America’s Founding Documents; 

• Modern enemies of freedom; 

• Christian Nationalism; 

• Socialism; 

• A call to action for modern citizens 

This valuable class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. the first four Thursdays in October (1, 8, 15, 22). Visitors to the theater will also see continued remodeling and lobby upgrades that help make Freedom Encounter an even more enjoyable and convenient educational family outing. Also, watch for updates about Delaware Crossing Coffee, coming to Freedom Encounter! Believe it or not, coffee played an important part in the American Revolution. Coffeehouses became the gathering spot, and coffee became the drink of choice, after the 1773 Boston Tea Party showed exactly what the early patriots thought of British-imported—and taxed—tea! Coming later this fall will be two special performances of the Freedom Journey Show, on November 6 and 10 of Branson’s Veterans Homecoming Week.
