Elevate Branson receives grant, places new tiny homes

Elevate Branson grateful for grant

Elevate Branson was the recipient of a generous grant award recently.  

The nonprofit was presented a check in the amount of $20,000 to benefit Elevate Branson's many endeavors.

"Thank you to Great Southern Band and Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines for this incredible grant award," said an Elevate Branson representative. "These funds will directly impact the Branson community. As we continue to provide affordable housing, workforce development, transportation alternatives and next steps for our neighbors in need, we are incredibly grateful."

Eight more homes added to Elevate Community

Elevate Community continues to grow. The tiny home community, adjacent to the Elevate Branson campus, recently put eight more homes in place, as the nonprofit works to provide safe, low cost housing for Branson residents.

The project is being built in phases. Phase One will include 48 homes, and Phase Two will add an additional 22 houses, bringing the total to 70 houses when the project is completed. Each home is 400 square feet, and has one bedroom and one bathroom, as well as a kitchen and living area.

Elevate Community is becoming a reality through public grants and private donations. The project is being built on a five-acre plot of land donated by the Herschend Family Foundation. Elevate Branson later purchased at additional 10 acres of land for the housing project.

When the most recent homes were placed on the development last week, Bryan Stallings, co-founder of Elevate Branson said, "With every home that arrives, we are one step closer to providing safe, stable and affordable housing for more people in our community, including seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities and our working poor. These aren't just tiny homes. They represent hope, dignity, stability and a fresh start for future Elevate Community neighbors."

Stallings added, "We are so grateful for every donor, sponsor, volunteer and community partner helping make this dream a reality."
