Community organizations appreciate support

Two area nonprofits are very grateful for the community's recent support. Taney County Animal Control and House of Hope both expressed their gratitude for generous donations recently received.

In a recent social media post, Taney County Animal Control noted, "We are overflowing with gratitude. Running a rescue takes a village and we are so lucky to have the absolute best one. To our generous donors, thank you so much for the dog and cat food, as well as the cozy bedding. Our pets are eating well and resting easy thanks to your kindness."

The TCAC went on to thank Maverik for their donation of flat boxes, which are used as disposable litter boxes, and the Branson Globe, for keeping them stocked in newspapers to help keep pet enclosures clean and fresh.

Said Taney County Animal Control, "Every single donation, big or small, helps us care for the animals waiting for their forever homes.  We couldn't do this without you."

House of Hope, who operates a cooling center for our neighbors in need during the hottest of days, also appreciates donations they received recently, to make guests' visits to House of Hope more pleasant. House of Hope had previously posted a request for beverages and snacks for guests to enjoy when the cooling center is open.  

"We have had a full day of love from the community. Thank you for making sure we were stocked up with all the goodies for the Cooling Center," said House of Hope.  "We appreciate Discount Freight and Grocery and our community members who stepped up and helped."
