Christian Action Ministries announce opening of full client-choice food pantry in Stone County

Christian Action Ministries is proud to announce the opening of a new full client-choice food pantry in Stone County, made possible through a collaborative partnership with Menta Education Group. This milestone marks a significant step forward in addressing food insecurity in the region while preserving dignity and choice for those in need.

For the past year, the board of directors of Christian Action Ministries has been actively searching for the right location to bring this vision to life. After an extensive and determined effort, the organization has secured the former Gibson Tech Building’s marine bay as the future home of the pantry. The availability of this space has transformed a long-held dream into a reality.

The new client-choice pantry model allows individuals and families to select food items that best meet their needs, much like a traditional grocery shopping experience. This approach not only supports nutritional preferences and dietary restrictions but also fosters a sense of empowerment and respect.

“This has truly been a journey of faith and perseverance,” said Michele Dean, Executive Director. “We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Menta Education Group and to utilize a space that will allow us to better serve the Stone County community.”

The pantry is expected to serve a growing number of families in the area, providing access to nutritious food in a welcoming and supportive environment. Christian Action Ministries is hopeful to have the pantry open in May 2026.
