Campground files bankruptcy; guests asked to vacate property

A large and luxurious campground has closed its doors. Located just east of the roundabout on Mo Highway 76 East, the Landing View Campground features large spaces, a shower house with plenty of hot water, a playground, relaxing pool and hot tub, and a serene and peaceful location. One of the newest camping facilities in the area, the Landing View Campground is a favorite among the many travelers who have visited the beautiful establishment.

The Landing View Campground is now closed. An announcement post of a local social media site last week stated that the campground amenities, such as the swimming pool, store, trash service and security would be suspended, and that no one would be on property past 5 p.m. each day.

On September 11, a letter was issued to the guests of the facility, stating that Camp Irene, LLC, doing business as Landing View Campground, had filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. 

The letter continued, "We were further notified that all guests currently remaining on the property must vacate Landing View Campground no later than September 20, 2026. On September 20, 2026, electrical and water service to the property will be discontinued."

Campground guests were asked to make arrangements to remove RVs, vehicles, personal belongings and any other property from the campground by the September 20 deadline.

Phone calls to the Landing View Campground were unanswered.
