Branson West mansion to be auctioned off

An exquisite, yet unfinished, mansion located in Branson West will soon be sold at auction.

The 104-acre lakefront property, located on Highway DD in Branson West, was formerly owned by Major League Baseball player Cole Hamels. The property is adjacent to Table Rock Lake and features 36,000 square feet of living space in a spectacular smart home that is unfinished, an eight-car garage and a resort-style infinity pool.  

A second residence on the property is a 3,600 square foot guest house with a three-car garage. The property includes a boat and RV storage building, and a large playground.

Cole Hamels is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He spent his career with the Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs and the Atlanta Braves. Hamels' Major League career spanned 15 years. His pitching prowess helped the Phillies win the 2008 World Series, beating the Tampa Bay Rays, and Hamels was named World Series MVP.  

Hamels and his wife Heidi donated the property to Camp Barnabas, a faith-based summer camp for children with disabilities in 2017. At that time, the property was valued at between $9.75 and $10 million and was the largest donation the camp had ever received. The property was reportedly later sold to an unnamed couple, and is now being sold in an online auction.

Target Auctions will be conducting the sale of the mansion via auction. Bidding begins on September 17, and is set to close at 11 a.m. on September 24.
