Each year there are an average of two million or more weddings in the United States alone. Those weddings range from very basic to extremely extravagant. One local business holds a special event each year to help couples find everything they need to make their special day perfect.
Touch of Class is a bridal and formal wear shop, known for its wide selection of wedding gowns, tuxedos, bridesmaid dresses and more. Each year, Touch of Class and owner Lana Johnson host the Branson Wedding Expo, where vendors offering anything and everything wedding related come together in one fabulous event. Prospective brides and grooms and their family members peruse the booths and visit with vendors offering wedding attire, catering services, cakes, venues, honeymoon opportunities, entertainment options, floral arrangements, photography and much more.
This year's Wedding Expo, held in the conference center at Clarion Hotel, featured the area's best in the wedding business, all under one roof, in a desire to make this year's weddings the best ever. Thousands of dollars in prizes were given away, much to the delight of those in attendance.
The Wedding Expo was rescheduled, due to a winter storm on the original date, but that didn't hamper the attendance for the exciting event.
"The Wedding Expo was a huge benefit to us," said Angie Harris, who attended with her daughter, due to wed in just a few weeks. "They had experts in all the details, from flowers, food, photos and even a dentist, helping with smiles. It was a lovely experience."
Lana Johnson, owner of Touch of Class, has been in the formal wear business in Branson for more than 25 years. Touch of Class, a bridal and formal wear boutique, offers not only bridal gowns and wedding attire, but also a wide selection of prom dresses, quinceanera dresses and a variety of formal wear.
Touch of Class is open Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm. The shop is located at 4514 Gretna Road, in the Shoppes at Branson Meadows.
