Branson Chorale announces banquet celebrating 15 years of Community in Harmony

As the Branson Chorale prepares for their 15th season bringing free choral music concerts to the Branson community, they are hosting a night to celebrate the past and prepare for the future. The one night only event will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m., featuring a banquet, silent auction and entertainment throughout the evening. 

The Branson Chorale is a nonprofit, non-auditioned choir bringing free music to the Branson community and has been doing so since a small group of singers was organized by Americanna Magness and Bob Abbott in the spring of 2012. Since that time, the chorale has grown to provide two free concerts per year, including a Christmas concert featuring a full orchestra. The Branson Chorale has also formed a non-auditioned community orchestra and children’s choir for select performances. 

“It started out as just a little chamber group because Americanna had a dream and Bob was the perfect person to start a great group! It has grown into such an amazing multifaceted community with opportunities for young singers, amateur singers and professional singers to instrumentalists, dancers and budding conductors!” celebrates Kyle Denton, Chorale conductor. “I am grateful and honored to be a part of this group of talented musicians and so excited to see what the next 15 years brings!” 

Celebrating these years of growth will be the theme of the Now & Then: 15 Years of Community in Harmony banquet. The evening’s program will include a number of musical offerings as well as a celebration of the Chorale’s past while looking forward to the future. 

“Over the years The Branson Chorale has been blessed with talented, dedicated leaders and increasing numbers of joyful, skilled singers,” says Ed Garrison, Chorale Board President.“  We welcome all who want to be a part of choral music performance in the Branson area. Please join us for an enjoyable evening in support of this creative institution.” 

The evening is also a fundraiser for the future of the Branson Chorale. Each season, the chorale needs to raise over $10,000 to purchase and rent music as well as provide stipends for professional orchestra members, accompanists and a conductor. Event proceeds will help cover these costs so that Chorale concerts can remain free of charge for the community. There are also a limited number of business sponsorships available. 

Board member and co-chair of the fundraising committee, Jeremiah Reeve, stated “While we don’t want to do an annual gala event, we thought this anniversary was a perfect time to celebrate all that the Chorale has meant to our community. Plus, it’s a way to make sure that we’re still singing 15 years from now.” 

The banquet will be held in the Pointe Royale Country Club banquet hall at 142 Clubhouse Drive, Branson. The cost is only $35 per person with full tables available as well. Tickets can be purchased at
