Back to School Bash to celebrate new school year

Each year, as thoughts turn to the beginning of the school year, area children and their families eagerly anticipate the Back to School Bash, presented by First Baptist Church of Branson.

The event is a community-wide outreach for area students and their families. Children enjoy free swimming at the AquaPlex, inflatables, balloon animals and other fun activities.

A motorcycle and skateboard stunt show that incorporates biblical principles is enjoyed by all, and delicious hotdogs, popsicles and refreshing drinks are served. Several area nonprofits are on hand to present families with helpful information, and every school-aged child is given a new backpack, filled with school supplies to help set them up for success for the new school year.

Additionally, volunteers are available to pray for children and their families and offer encouragement.

The Back to School Bash has been an August tradition for 20 years. During that time, over 27,000 backpacks with school supplies have been given away, and 36,000 hot dogs have been served at the annual event. Additionally, it takes approximately 125 volunteers to host and serve at the event each year.

This year's Back to School Bash is set for Sunday, August 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Branson RecPlex on Branson Hills Parkway. All area students and their families are invited to attend this free event hosted by Branson's First Baptist Church

Come out, celebrate the end of summer, and get ready for a great 2026-27 school year.

First Baptist Church of Branson also invites you to attend service on Sundays at their 400 South Sunshine location. Classic service begins at 8:00 and modern services are held at 9:30 and 11 a.m.
