Back to School Bash provides end of summer fun

Hundreds of families were in attendance on Sunday when First Baptist Church of Branson held their annual Back to School Bash at the city's RecPlex on Branson Hills Parkway.

This year marked the 20th year for the church to hold this special get together in celebration of a new school year. Children, along with their families, enjoyed bounce houses and inflatables, a variety of games, balloon animals, face painting and more.

The annual motorcycle and BMX stunt show, performed by pro rider Brad Bennett and his team, delighted the spectators. and children were excited to head to the AquaPlex for some swimming.

Many nonprofits including Salvation Army, Gideons International, Linkability, MomCo, Library Center of the Ozarks and others were on hand with information for families and goodies for the kids,

Everyone enjoyed free hotdogs, chips, popsicles and water, and all school aged children received a free backpack and school supplies, as well as a water bottle commemorating the 250th Birthday of the USA.

"This is our 20th year to have this fun community party at the amazing $12 million park with its incredible pool and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a Sunday evening," noted Terry Brown, director of the Back to School Bash.  

Brown expressed his thanks to the many sponsors who made the Back to School Bash such an overwhelming success.
