Area residents gather to support life at 2025 Life Chain

Every year, on the first Sunday in October, pro-life individuals and groups gather in peaceful, prayerful advocacy for the unborn at Life Chain events across America. In Branson, over 150 area residents, including individuals from at least 16 churches, community groups and nonprofits, gathered along 76 Country Blvd. from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, to add their unity and support to that of citizens in hundreds of similar events across the United States, including several other Missouri events.

“In addition to those attending, we had a lot of positive response from people driving by,” said Haven Howard, director of Concerned Women for America/Missouri. Howard also coordinates the local CWA Prayer/Action chapter, which took an active role in distributing information and providing signs for the Branson event. Nationally, CWA holds sanctity of life at all stages of human development as one of its core values.

Anecdotally and via social media, many attendees said they participated in order to stand for the biblical definition of when life begins, and wanted to show others in their communities that many Americans do not support abortion. See photos of events nationwide at https://www.lifechain.org.
