Area Episcopal Churches plan Flamingo Fling

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Kimberling City and Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church of Branson invite the community to the annual End-of-Summer Flamingo Fling, to be held on Saturday, September 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Mark’s, 3 Northwoods Drive, just off Joe Bald Rd. in Kimberling City. 

Proceeds from the annual event, which is sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women, benefit several nonprofit organizations serving area children, including House of Hope, the Child Advocacy Center, the Smile Center, Stone County Recovery Center, several area school counseling and backpack programs, and more. 

The $15 admission includes wine, hors d’oeuvres, and live music; plus opportunities to bid on some wonderful silent auction items, including gift certificates for area restaurants and experiences. Gift baskets include spa treatments, doggie basket, book basket, pamper basket, gardening basket and more. University of Kansas fans will want to check out the autographed basketball from the 2010/2011 season! There will also be an auction for a fun dinner at Cellar 417 with comedian/entertainer Terry Sanders.
