Ozarks DynaCom is once again teaming up with the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors for the annual Holiday Food Harvest.
The Holiday Food Harvest is a long-time endeavor of the Ozarks DynaCom group of radio stations. This year marks the 20th year that the event has been sponsored by Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors. The food drive began in the early 1990s by the original owners of KRZK radio station and has grown to be the largest single-day food drive in the area.
The food drive will benefit food pantries in Taney and Stone counties— Christian Action Ministries and the Salvation Army.
On the day before Thanksgiving, volunteers from the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors will be stationed at participating stores throughout the area, collecting nonperishable food items and cash donations. You will be greeted by friendly realtors at Country Mart in Branson, Hollister and Forsyth; Harter House in Hollister and Kimberling City; Rhodes Family Price Chopper in Branson; Sunfest Market in Branson; and both Walmart and King Food Saver in Branson West.
While volunteers welcome donations of nonperishable food items, they wish to remind you that the two nonprofit entities that will benefit from the food drive have tremendous buying power and can utilize each dollar donated to purchase approximately $10 in groceries. Therefore, cash donations are encouraged.
Financial contributions can be made online to either organization, or by mailing a check to Christian Action Ministries, 2400 State Highway 165, Branson, MO 65616 or Salvation Army, PO Box 1715, Branson, MO 65615.
The Holiday Food Harvest is set for Wednesday, November 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
