When I was a boy in school, nothing would evoke a physical encounter faster than when someone spoke about another person’s parents. “Don’t you talk about my Momma/Daddy!” were usually the last words spoken before the punches began to be thrown. In today’s world it has become popular to deny fact and common sense, simply because of who is violating it as well as how many people are violating it. Also, it has become acceptable to violate fact and common sense based upon someone claiming to be offended or having their feelings hurt. 

I am still not perfect in this area. But I have become better since my youth. Sadly, some people never grow up. Instead of mellowing as they get older, they get more cantankerous.
