Tri-Lakes Amateur Radio Club to hold boot camp

The Tri-Lakes Amateur Radio Club (TLARC) will be hosting a one-day boot camp on October 4, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the Branson United Methodist Church, 1208 West 76 Country Blvd., in Branson, MO.

The boot camp is for a Technician Level License with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). The boot camp is a one-day review of all the possible questions that can be on the test, followed by testing. It is important to note that a person should study prior to boot camp class at www.Hamstudy.org

The cost of the class is $60.00, which includes the testing fee, lunch and membership in TLARC. With a passing score on the test, an already programmed Tri-band handheld radio will also be provided.
