Ranch Rodeo returns to Stone County for Labor Day weekend

The Stone County Event Center in Galena will come alive with rodeo action, barrel racing and family-friendly entertainment Sept. 4-6 during the 9th Annual Ranch Rodeo, 5 Drum Barrel Race and Labor Day Buck Out.

The three-day event will bring area residents and visitors together for a weekend filled with horses, bull riding and plenty of Western excitement. Admission is $10 per day for those ages six and up, while children five and under can attend free.

The festivities will begin Friday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m. with Mutton Bustin’ followed by a Youth Bull Ride, giving young riders an opportunity to take part in the rodeo action.

Saturday’s activities will begin at 10 a.m. with an NFR-style 4D Barrel Race. The evening lineup begins at 6 p.m. with Mutton Bustin’, followed by the Ranch Rodeo and Drum Barrel Race at 7 p.m.

The weekend will wrap up Sunday, Sept. 6, beginning with Mutton Bustin’ at 6 p.m. The evening will conclude with a Bull Ride at 7 p.m.

The event will take place at the Stone County Event Center, located at 200 Ammabelle Lane in Galena.
