Master Gardeners to present program at Library Center of the Ozarks

The Library Center of the Ozarks invites you to an informative and educational program, “A Year in the Life of a Honeybee” hosted by the Master Gardeners of the Ozarks on Tuesday, July 22, at 10:30 p.m.

Participants will learn about the fascinating life cycle of the honeybee, a very important pollinator. Beekeeper and Master Gardener Caroline Griesemer will explain basic beekeeping techniques with peeks inside the hive of this complex organism.

Library Director Essy Day commented, “Beekeeping has become increasingly popular, and we are very fortunate to have an expert beekeeper do a program at the Library.”

Master Gardener Mary O’Brien, who scheduled Caroline for the program, said “Caroline and her husband, Louis, enjoy developing their property to provide abundant forage for their beehives through the development of native prairies, flower and vegetable gardens, and native trees. She does a fabulous presentation.”

All Library programs are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
