KAL announces exciting children’s programs for fall

Kimberling Area Library invites area families to enjoy the new season of children’s programs and story times at the Library, starting with Fall Storytime Kickoff on Monday, September 8, at 10:30 a.m.
Storytime, which also includes additional fun such as games, songs and crafts, is held the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 10:30 a.m., and all ages are welcome. Several Storytime dates will also include a special guest or learning focus, as per the following schedule:
Monday, September 8 – Kickoff event
Monday, September 22 – Storytime with the Master Gardeners
Monday, October 13 – Storytime
Monday, October 27 – Storytime including Halloween Costume Party
Monday, November 10 – Storytime with KDM Builders
Monday, November 24 – Storytime
Along with the regular Monday schedule, additional special events are planned, including some late afternoon events for kids or families who are busy during the weekdays. Plan now to check out these fun and educational opportunities:
Saturday, September 20, 10:30 a.m. – Get ready to ROCK at a special S.T.E.A.M. session where kids will uncover a world of rocks and minerals for a morning of rock painting, rock stacking, rock cracking and some rock-themed treats and stories!
Tuesday, October 7, 4:15 p.m. – Bring your imagination to do some building at Lego Club! Lego blocks will be supplied; come ready to create, build and play!
Tuesday, November 4, 5 p.m. – Pajama Party Storytime! Wear your favorite PJs and enjoy some snoozy stories and light music. Teddy bears, pillows and blankies are welcome, too!
