Joe Allen announces candidacy for Taney County Prosecuting Attorney

After thoughtful consideration with friends and family, and with a deep commitment to the safety and future of the community he has proudly called home since elementary school, Joe Allen has officially announced his candidacy for Taney County Prosecuting Attorney.

With more than 20 years of litigation experience in criminal law — serving both as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney — Allen brings a comprehensive understanding of the justice system from both sides of the courtroom. He believes the office of Prosecuting Attorney is too important to be treated as a vanity project. When it is time to put violent criminals behind bars, competence, experience and sound judgment matter.

“Our community is suffering from drug trafficking and addiction,” Allen said. “My first priority will be to identify and aggressively prosecute the individuals responsible for fueling this epidemic.”
