Imagine Technical Institute (ITI), a nonprofit providing employment support for adults with disabilities and hiring support for local businesses, will host an open house on Thursday, November 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. at 101 State Drive, Hollister.
During the event, ITI will introduce three new programs designed to expand opportunities for individuals with disabilities and strengthen local workforce partnerships.
A new pre-employment program, launching December 1, will provide hands-on experience and professional development for individuals preparing to enter the workforce. Two new vocational training programs, developed in partnership with the Branson Convention Center and the Hollister R-V School District, will offer specialized training in hospitality and custodial services, respectively.
“These new programs reflect our commitment to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build confidence, gain valuable skills, and find meaningful employment,” said Teresa Wappel, ITI Executive Director. “They also provide local employers with a stronger, more inclusive talent pipeline.”
The open house offers an opportunity for community members, agencies and employers to learn more about ITI’s programs and partnerships. People with disabilities and their families can learn about available supports, ask program-specific questions, and plan next steps. Targeted case management agencies and Vocational Rehabilitation counselors can discuss referrals and eligibility pathways. Other service providers can explore collaboration opportunities, and employers can learn about inclusive hiring supports and partnership options.
“This casual meet-and-greet is all about you—your questions, your needs and exploring how we can support your goals,” Wappel added. “It takes a dedicated community to serve and empower adults with disabilities, and this event is a chance to connect, engage and strengthen those supports.”
