Imagine Technical Institute (ITI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities through employment, has announced the appointment of Katrina Coffman to represent its interests on the board of directors for Boone Center, Inc. (BCI), ITI’s parent organization.

Based in Hollister, ITI joined BCI in 2023 to operate as a key extension in advancing inclusive employment in southwest Missouri. Coffman’s appointment strengthens regional representation on the board while adding a wealth of experience in disability services and workforce development.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Katrina,” said Troy Compardo, BCI CEO. “Our board is made up of professionals who help us break down barriers so individuals with disabilities can reach their full potential. With her deep expertise in supported employment, Katrina brings tremendous knowledge and valuable insight that will undoubtedly strengthen and grow our efforts across the state.”
Coffman currently serves as Executive Director of LinkAbility, Inc. in Hollister. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education, two master’s degrees in counseling and nonprofit management, and a doctorate in public administration.
Her career began in the classroom as a schoolteacher and evolved into roles as a special education school counselor and a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the state of Texas. Before joining LinkAbility, she spent 16 years with Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas, ultimately serving as CEO. She is also a CARF surveyor with deep expertise in placing people with disabilities into competitive, integrated employment.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to have Katrina in our region,” said Tim Connell, founder of Imagine Technical Institute. “In just over a year, she’s already made a significant impact—both through her leadership at LinkAbility and through new services that directly support workforce development, like their dedicated transportation unit and newly opened daycare in Stone County. We’re excited about the partnerships already forming and look forward to continued collaboration with Katrina, LinkAbility, and others throughout southwest Missouri.”
