Hurley R-1 School District seeks bids for playground equipment

The Hurley R-1 School District is preparing for improvements to its playground areas this fall and is seeking bids on two sets of existing playground equipment. The district plans to replace both playground areas in October as part of an effort to provide updated recreational spaces for students. The existing equipment will be made available to interested bidders.

One of the playground equipment sets is located in the preschool area and is rated for children ages 2-5. The second set serves elementary-aged students and is rated for children ages 5-12.

The district will be responsible for taking down the existing playground equipment. However, the successful bidder will be responsible for moving the equipment after it has been removed.

Those interested in submitting a bid or learning more about the available equipment and bidding process are encouraged to contact the Hurley R-1 School District.

According to the district, the playground equipment offers an opportunity for someone who may be looking for equipment suitable for younger children or elementary-aged students. The playground replacements are expected to take place in October, making the bidding process an important step as the district prepares for the upcoming improvements.

For additional information, including details about the equipment and the bidding process, contact Matt Summers at 417-369-3271 or by email at msummers@hurleytigers.org. The district encourages interested parties to reach out for more information before submitting a bid. The replacement of the two playground areas will provide Hurley R-1 students with new spaces for outdoor recreation and play while giving the existing equipment an opportunity for continued use elsewhere.
