Hope Counseling Center invites workplaces to second annual Slipper Shift
Hope Counseling Center invites local businesses and community organizations to participate in its second annual Slipper Shift on Friday, October 9, 2026, in recognition of World Mental Health Day on October 10.
Participants gather their teams in slippers, take a photo, and post it on their business social media accounts, tagging Hope Counseling Center and using #HopeSlipperShift. Slippers symbolize comfort and support, providing a simple way to begin conversations about mental health.
Last year’s campaign brought together 35 businesses and organizations and raised nearly $7,700 to support affordable counseling. Hope, the Branson Chamber’s 2026 Nonprofit of the Year, is inviting returning and new partners to build on that support.
A business donation of $250 is suggested and encouraged. Teams take their own photos and can download an optional campaign graphic to use in their posts.
Businesses can find instructions, make a gift and contact Hope about joining at hopecounselingmo.org/slipper-shift. Hope encourages teams to confirm by October 2. Teams should follow workplace footwear requirements and choose a safe setting for photos.
