Hollister symphonic band earns exemplary ratings at MSHSAA State Music Festival

On April 17, the Hollister High School symphonic band achieved a remarkable accomplishment at the MSHSAA State Large Group Music Festival, held at Nixa High School. The band received straight exemplary ratings from all judges, marking the second consecutive year they have achieved this distinction. This is also the third consecutive year that the band has earned an overall exemplary rating, the highest honor given by MSHSAA.

This achievement highlights the commitment and hard work of the students, who performed with exceptional skill and precision to earn this recognition. The public is invited to enjoy the Hollister Symphonic Band’s performance at the upcoming Spring Band Concert on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 7 p.m. The concert, which is free to attend, will feature band students from grades six through 12 and promises to be a celebration of the students’ musical excellence.
